Last Minute News The Helena Unmpires Association is now accepting team registrations for our 2012 HUA "Inside the Pork" Coed Softball Tournament. This is "THE summer Coed softball Tournament" to play in Montana now. The dates are May 19th & 20th. For an entry fee of $200/team, you'll receive 4-guaranteed games of competitive Coed Softball at Helena's Batch Fields the tournament site for the 2012 B/C State Coed Tournament. In addition, every team and their family will also receive admission to our now famous pig roast. It's a feed that has to be experienced to be believed. NEW THIS YEAR, to help out all out-of-town teams on a budget who would like to join us here in Helena this year, is a SPECIAL HOTEL RATE!!! Jorgenson's Inn and Suites is offering 40-rooms with double beds at the special rate of $79/night + taxes. Breakfast at the hotel is also included in this price!! A double benefit!! To get this rate call the Jorgenson's Inn and Suites at 442-1770 and tell them that you would like a room at the special rate for the Helena Softball Umpires Associations Coed Tournament. As always, their will be awards given to two champions and two second place teams, during our tournament. One set from our upper bracket, and one set from our lower bracket. EVERY TEAM, will be able to hit an UNLIMITED number of home runs during the round robin rounds of our tournament. Your win/loss record, and the number of runs that you score (there are run rules), and your record in head-to-head-play (if necessary) will seed each team in to a single elimination tournament on Sunday. During the single elimination tournament, the teams in our upper bracket will have a 3+1 home run rule, and the teams in our lower bracket will have a 1+1 home run rule. The teams in our tournament really have a great time with these home run rules. To register your team, simply call Larry at 431-5679. Give Larry the name of your team's captain, his or her phone number, the name of your team, and the city where you are coming from this year. We will require each team to pay their entry fee before the start of their first game on Saturday, by sending us your registration fee in advance or when you show up on Saturday morning. We will keep a list of the teams that register on this website, as they register so that everyone may see how we are doing, who is coming, and from where. Please help us get the word out about our tournament by telling all of the coed teams and players that you know, even those from out-of-state!!! Weather/RSS
